Camping is not for me
Posted on June 29, 2008, by Kim, under Family | Relationships.
I just got back from a weekend of camping at Clifty Falls in Madison, Indiana. First let me say, that I have believed that I am not a camper for many years and much to my husband’s disapointment, I pushed that belief off on my family. The idea of visiting Mammoth Cave and sleeping in cabins, came up in discussion with friends of ours, and by the end of the discussion, we all were going primitave camping. When I told our daughter, Abby that we were going to go camping, she sadly said, “You know I can’t sleep in the nature”.
So now that we’re back, I have another Ms.Conception! CAMPING IS FOR ME! My children even enjoyed it and even though we got pounded by a severe thunderstorm our first night, they were sad to leave today.
I will have to say that the only way to camp is with friends and to prepare meals ahead of time so you’re not just eating hot dogs and mini muffins.
We’re hoping to do some more camping this summer.
