What you’ll find is that every author’s piece strives to tear down society's expectations, dispel myths and allow women to be their unique selves; while providing a form of healing or encouragement. No matter a woman’s story, we aim to bring clarity to common MsConceptions faced by women everywhere.

Being a woman is only part of what drives Chellvie to share her story about the many misconceptions she faces in society. The other contributing factor, well, it’s women like you who are reading this. Chellvie has a passion for women speaking up and speaking out. Living her life, for as long as she can remember, afraid, doubtful, and uncertain if her voice or opinion held any value; she found herself growing into a woman she didn’t recognize. That is, until she realized how powerful her voice truly was. Speaking up and speaking out was a skill set she had lacked for so long, but not anymore. Out of fear, doubt, and uncertainty, grew passion, rage, hunger and a belief that what she has to say matters. From that, MsConceptions, LLC. was born. Chellvie knows that who she is matters. How she chooses to live matters. Out of all of the oppositions faced, she is still Woman and she has something to say. MsConceptions isn’t just about her, it’s about women everywhere and she invites women everywhere to share MsConceptions they face to help the next woman speak up and speak out! This our platform! 

Straight out the mud. Chellvie was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. She was raised by the greatest women to ever do it, her mother Litisia Roberts and her grandmother Charlene Roberts. Chellvie has five beautiful sisters who she loves dearly. One who she owes a lot of thanks to for helping push her creativity and hold her accountable for the very vision God planted inside her. Chellvie is married to a bomb dude, Kamau Mbalia, and together they are raising three beautiful children. Chellvie is an Engineer by day. Having her career was one thing, but fulfilling what God actually called her to do is what pushed her to pursue a bigger role in life. Being a woman and constantly hearing, and facing society’s misconceptions of who a woman should be is the drive behind her purpose project, MsConceptions, LLC.

Chellvie spent her life surviving. It took self reflection, growth, therapy, her husband, a whole lot of prayer and surrendering, to allow her to start to actually bud into her woman. Growing up, she had no idea what a healthy life or relationship looked like. With her mom serving as both parental roles to three children, there was a lot of having to fend for herself. Chellvie knows her mother did the best job she could with everything life served her, but her mother always pushed her girls to do more and be better than herself. Chellvie took her mother’s encouragement and ran with it. She knew there was more than the life she was exposed to. She knew there was more to learn, and more to experience. What she didn’t know was the jumps and hurdles the journey would throw at her as she navigated life. As you experience being through her eyes, and women’s eyes everywhere, it's with strong hopes that women and men can stand up and speak out about the unrealistic MsConceptions they and other members of society hold women to. Chellvie invites you to share your journey, but if you are not moved to share, it's her hope that something someone shares heals, strengthens or drives change in your life. Peace. Love. Blessings.
